Finnish melodic death metal outfit OMNIUM GATHERUM will do another run of European co-headline dates with Skálmöld and with their fellow countrymen from Stam1na as support right after the recording sessions for their next studio album, continuing the successful “The Arctic Circle Alliance” European Tour in spring 2018.
 
Guitarist Markus Vanhala comments, "We enjoyed the previous European run with our Finnish and Icelandic brothers so much, that we extended this companionship! December 19 in the year of the King (2017): 

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! — His royal majesty the King and His elite orchestra, AVATAR have granted the Royal State Television Network (KTV) the right to release footage of their participation in recent battle through the popular medium of the ”YouTube”.  This is within accommodation with their newest single, "The King Wants You." The so-called ”music video” is once again directed by Johan Carlén, overseen by the Department of Accurate Depiction of the King.

As first heard on SiriusXM's Octane channel late last week, this is the second single and music video we've heard from the King with AVATAR off His new record titled Avatar Country coming next month. 

The band initially released the single and ”music video” for “A Statue of the King” last month. The visually stunning recording of a great Avatar Country celebration has gone on to receive high praise from around the world. Revolver Magazine called it a "powerful anthem" and Loudwire dubbed it "the band's most ambitious looking video yet."

Both “A Statue of the King” and "The King Wants You" have also been granted availability as iTunes instant gratification tracks. Meaning, fans and future Citizens who pre-order Avatar Country on iTunes will receive the song as an immediate download. Both tracks are available on all streaming services now. 

Avatar will release their seventh, and most Royal, full length, Avatar Country on January 12, 2018, via Entertainment One. Avatar Country will serve as the highly anticipated follow up to Feathers and Flesh, which debuted at #5 Hard Music, #7 Indie, #12 Rock, #31 Current, #9 Overall and #88 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

The King will embark on a series of state visits this winter with very special guests THE BRAINS (North America leg), OLD KERRY MCKEE (European leg) and sideshow extraordinaire HELLZAPOPPIN. Citizens and zealots may remember Hellzapoppin from the band’s 2012 music video for their single “Black Waltz.” The Royal presence will first be felt in Columbus, OH on January 6th at the Newport Music Hall and stretch coast to coast before coming to a theatrical close at The Intersection in Grand Rapids. The European round of state visits will start in Utrecht, Netherlands on March 13 and be concluded in Gothenburg, Sweden on April 7.

Legendarily New York influential post-hardcore band GLASSJAW have released their long-awaited third album “Material Control” digitally earlier this month. The physical release, which was originally planned for December 22^nd, will now be postponed to early 2018.

Speculation grew when a mysterious pre-order of the album was briefly visible online and then suddenly gone. GLASSJAW, notoriously tight-lipped, fueled more speculation when fans across the globe began to randomly receive mysterious postal service packages from the band. Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of German death metal maniacs DEATHRITE for a worldwide deal.
 
Hailing from the cities of Dresden and Leipzig, the band has stirred up the cauldron of death metal quite a bit with their extremely well-received three studio albums, „Deathrite“ (2011), „Into Extinction“ (2013) and „Revelation Of Chaos“ (2015). With heavy touring and their excellent live qualities, the four members have proven why DEATHRITE are among the most hopeful new acts of the worldwide extreme metal scene. Now they are setting their sails to conquer further shores. The band is currently writing new material for their eagerly awaited fourth studio album, which is about to be released in late 2018.

“As a band, we've been developing the lighter side of our sound since our first album back in 2010, and have always wanted to be able to showcase a different side to the heavy, raucous music we are known for. ‘Losing Ground’ came from an idea that James had been jamming on an acoustic guitar, and when we heard Lee start singing on it, we knew we had something a bit different and that was so exciting to write and play. It also gave us some new avenues to go down with the production, so we had a lot of fun with that in the studio.
The song means a lot to us and hopefully shows how much we have grown as a band! The song has so many possibilities in the way we play it too, so we are looking forward to getting to explore that a bit more.”

Californian death metal act SKELETAL REMAINS will release their forthcoming third studio album, entitled “Devouring Mortality” on April 13^th, 2018 via Dark Descent Records in North America and Century Media Records for the rest of the world.
 
Tracked at Trench Studios (Abysmal Dawn, Exhumed, Hirax, etc.) in California and mixed by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio (Asphyx, Dissection, Bloodbath, etc.), “Devouring Mortality” will feature cover artwork by Dan Seagrave (Entombed, Morbid Angel, Pestilence etc.).

Swedish melodic Death Metal pioneers AT THE GATES have just completed the recording process of their upcoming studio album with producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, The Haunted, Dimmu Borgir, etc.) at Parlour Studios in the UK. The album will be entitled “To Drink From The Night Itself” and it follows up 2014’s acclaimed comeback release “At War With Reality”. The worldwide release date will be May 18^th, 2018 via Century Media Records.
 
The band has checked in with the following comment:
 
"We have wrapped up the recordings of the new record, and we are super psyched! It has been a smooth process, and very creatively fullfilling. All people that we have worked with on this project have stepped up to our vision of the final product, and we are very excited about the result.
 
As you might have seen, we have worked with Russ Russel on this one, and he is really a master of getting the most intense takes out of us, and also has an ear for the rawness that we were after for this one. The vocals were recorded with Per Stålberg here in Gothenburg, and he always makes me deliver to a 100%. Right now we are getting the mastering done, and every new song that is bounced to us produces huge grins on our faces. This album sounds hungry and mean. 
 
The title of our new record will be "To Drink From The Night Itself", and it is, again a conceptual record. More details about the concept will be revealed once the album is more on its way. But it connects with the deep roots of the band, and has connections with some of the themes on "The Red In The Sky Is Ours".

BLEED FROM WITHIN are back! Five years in the making, “Era“ marks the return of the Scottish quintet. The album was recorded at Middle Farm Studios and BLEED FROM WITHIN headquarters between March - September 2017. The drums were produced and engineered by Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood (Periphery, Animals As Leaders and more), who also mixed the album. It is the first release featuring their new guitar player, Steven Jones. The Scottish based producer/songwriter joined the band two years ago and has been an integral part of both writing, and recording.
