While commencing a European headline tour run this week, Canadian progressive sci-fi metal innovators VOIVOD are now releasing another strictly limited 7" EP in order to complete the vinyl-release of the 5 songs featured on their latest "Post Society" Mini-Album.
After having showcased 3 tracks already on long-sold-out split 7" EP's with label-mates At The Gates, Napalm Death and Entombed A.D., this final 7" EP of the series is entitled "Silver Machine" and includes both the Hawkwind cover-version that serves as its title track as well as the song "Post Society".
The "Silver Machine" EP is limited to a total of 1.000 copies, split up as follows:

In order to celebrate their 30th band anniversary, Dutch Doom Death Metal division ASPHYX is announcing a very special edition of their "The Rack" debut album, to be released on November 17th, 2017 via Century Media Records.
Synched up with the band's special anniversary shows at the Turock venue in Essen, Germany on November 18th & 19th (Grab the last tickets for the Sunday matinée show while supply lasts!), this limited edition 2CD & 2LP re-release features the carefully re-mastered original album as well as the entire record in original sequence covered by underground companions and talented newcomers as bonus. "If some-one would have told us back in 1991 we would be celebrating a "The Rack" re-release 25 years after the original and even a 30 years band anniversary, I would have recommended that person to consult a damn shrink.
But here we are in 2017, deathsters, going stronger than ever and with an extra-ordinary marvelous brand new release of "The Rack" on vinyl and as Mediabook CD.
Of course this idea came up as usual after a few beers during the first recording session of "Incoming Death", when one of us stated "The Rack" was 25 years in his private metal-collection already.
And thus we felt like doing something special. Now what can be more unique then having colleague bands we respect and listen to ourselves covering every single track of the album in their own particular style? May that be of old wolves or young hunters from the global pack, they're all represented.
Therefore, as ASPHYX, we are extremely proud and honored to have all these true spontaneous 3rd millennium doom/death contributions and also the magnificent remastering, preserving that grim, gloomy, loud and brutal sound of the old days.

Recorded and mixed at ESKIMO CALLBOY's home studio, "The Scene" was mastered at Pitchback Studios by Aljoscha Sieg (Nasty, Any Given Day, We Butter The Bread With Butter...). Like most bands of the modern era, ESKIMO CALLBOY opted to record and mix their own music instead of hiring on a named producer. Their reasoning is simple: nobody is more passionate about music as the members of the band.

WITCHERY guitarist Jensen checked in with the following comment about "Of Blackened Wing": "'Of Blackened Wing' is a song that perfectly combines both the old and new sounds of WITCHERY. It mixes the thrashing touch of old with the grittiness and rawness of new. It's one of my personal favorites on the "I Am Legion" album and it will definitely be a part of our set for our upcoming live shows."

Dutch destroyers DEATH ALLEY already raised attention with their debut album "Black Magick Boogieland" in 2015. The band, revolving around former The Devil's Blood guitarist Oeds Beydals, singer Douwe Truijens, Swedish drummer Uno Bruniusson (ex In Solitude) and latest addition Sander Bus on bass, mainline an unorthodox cross contamination of psychedelic hard rock and punk, played with excellent precision and power. The spirit of Bad Brains and King Crimson, Hawkwind and Poison Idea, and hints of The Stooges and Black Sabbath-worship form the fundament for DEATH ALLEY's solid rock and roll presented with metal finesse and a pitch black psychedelic soul cherry on top.
Since their debut release, DEATH ALLEY have relentlessly toured the world. Century Media Records and SAMAEL invite you to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Swiss metal masters’ 1992 opus “Blood Ritual”, which will be released as impressive vinyl edition on December 1st, 2017.
It features the LP’s original cover artwork re-created from a brand-new scan of the original painting by Axel Hermann (Asphyx, Grave, Unleashed) and reveals its more blueish character, which was already lost on the first pressing. Arch Enemy: : - debut new music video for single "The Race"
Having just completed a successful run of dates across Eastern Europe on the "Will To Power International Tour", extreme metal giants ARCH ENEMY are back with another ripping single from their recently released album, "Will To Power", with the music video single for "The Race".
Founding member Michael Amott commented: "This was actually the last song written for the 'Will To Power' album. Listening through all the material we had up to that point we agreed that the album needed one more song that would be a relentless and fast paced counterpoint to some of the more epic compositions we already had. We sent Alissa the music and she came up with a thought provoking set of lyrics with an intense vocal arrangement that complemented the music perfectly. We've been having a blast playing this song on the current tour and we had our video director Patric Ullaeus come out to capture the mayhem at our recent show in Helsinki, Finland... Enjoy 'The Race'!"

Butcher Babies: : - unleash new track "POMONA (Shit Happens)"
With only less than two weeks to go until the release of their third studio album, Lilith, Hollywood-based Metal outfit BUTCHER BABIES have released another new track off the upcoming record. The new song, titled "POMONA (Shit Happens)" is perhaps the bands most unhinged and irreverent track to date, and fans who pre-order Lilith will be able to download it as an instant grat.
